Medical Records Clerk

The Medical Records Clerk assembles, organizes, and manages patients' health information and charts. You will perform basic administrative, operational, customer support, and data-entry tasks, working on routine, structured assignments. You will report to the Center Administrator.

Job Functions:

• Ensure all medical forms are identified, completed, and signed
• Enter required patient information into the electronic records system
• Communicate with physicians and staff to clarify diagnoses or obtain additional information
• Assign codes to diagnoses and procedures
• Operate within defined work expectations, quality standards, and priorities, under close supervision and established guidelines

Required Qualifications:

• Bilingual English and Spanish
• 2+ years of Medical Records experience
• Strong organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Quick to learn new systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Willing to travel locally, with occasional overnight stays
• Committed to enhancing consumer experiences within a continuous improvement environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• Previous healthcare or health insurance experience
• Familiarity with medical terminology and/or ICD-9 codes

Working Hours: Monday Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

Location: Onsite in Jupiter, FL

Additional Information:

This role is considered patient-facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Pay Range: $38,000 - $45,800 per year
