Introduction Our client is hiring a Mixed Animal Veterinarian on either a full-time or part-time basis. Established in 1952 and serving a five-state area, the hospital provides care across a broad mixed animal caseload including companion animals, equine patients, cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, poultry, and other livestock. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced veterinarian seeking a varied and hands-on role within a long-established practice that offers exposure to both small animal and large animal medicine. Role Description and Responsibilities The Mixed Animal Veterinarian will be responsible for providing the full scope of GP responsibilities across a mixed animal caseload. This role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse range of patients and case types, from routine preventative care and diagnostics through to more involved medical presentations across companion animals, equine patients, and livestock. This position is best suited to an experienced veterinarian who enjoys clinical variety, practical case management, and working across multiple species within a supportive and well-equipped environment. Practice Details The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and is closed on weekends. The practice provides a full scope of GP services across a variety of species, alongside 24-hour emergency services for equine patients, creating a varied caseload. The hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic technology including, but not limited to, an extensive IDEXX in-house laboratory, digital radiology, digital dental radiology, and ultrasound. The modern facility is designed to provide top-notch care for haul-in patients, featuring multiple exam rooms and an internal medicine wing for ultrasounds, 2 ICU stalls equipped with oxygen and cameras, a dedicated surgery wing with an induction room, surgery suite, and 2 recovery rooms, as well as an isolation room, 10 hospital stalls, 15 reproduction stalls, and a round pen for lameness patients. Team You will work alongside three experienced DVMs, including a board-certified equine surgeon, supported by dedicated veterinary technicians and client service professionals who share a commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care. Together, the team works cohesively to provide the highest level of client and patient care.
