Senior Business Process Manager CSI (340B)

The Senior Business Process Manager (BPM) reports into the Strategic Planning & Assurance (SP&A) team within CSI. The SP&A team translates strategy to execution, connects dots across segments and workstreams, and leads comprehensive end-to-end programs to achieve business goals and ROI in partnership with CCM Leadership, CSI Leadership, ATI, IT, Finance, Legal, HCO, and other CCS, PAA, GNE and Roche teams. The BPM guides, influences, and shapes CSI’s strategic planning, initiatives, business processes, and technological advancements to maximize the full potential of CSI’s people, processes, and technologies now and in the future. The Senior BPM primarily translates business ideas, challenges and innovations into actionable plans, leading the design, coordination and implementation of key CCM and cross‑CSI initiatives, including 340B program integrity and revenue leakage prevention. The role also supports CSI systems, data, processes, documentation and reporting, shares departmental management activities, and leads operational excellence and continuous improvement projects. Key Responsibilities Serve as a strategic thought partner and advisor to CSI LT on systems, processes, data, analysis, reporting and compliance. Support CSI’s strategic planning process and initiatives to maximize the potential of CSI’s people, processes, and technologies. Leads business support for system upgrades and enhancements to optimize data, processes, documentation, reporting and change management. Work with senior leaders to assess, analyze and identify current state processes, pain points and barriers, then prioritize and recommend improvement efforts aligned with strategic plans. Consult senior leadership on organizational and operational performance, IT systems portfolios and business process decisions. Support implementation of complex strategies (e.g., 340B, revenue leakage protection, 3‑year planning) and large‑scale projects across CSI. Lead large‑scale sustainability efforts, technology projects, process improvements and other initiatives to optimize operations and scale over the medium‑ and longer‑term horizon. Encourage and collaborate with business teams to plan, map, evaluate, design, and measure processes for improvement that increase quality, efficiency and capacity. Orchestrate cross‑functional collaboration, stakeholder engagement and deliver short‑ and long‑term roadmaps to support evolving business needs. Develop, implement, train and monitor departmental standard operating procedures to reduce variation and drive effectiveness. Analyze existing workflows and develop process and technology strategies to enhance the customer experience and operational effectiveness across all functions. Provide system and process expertise to support CSI interactions with external and internal customers, communicating contract and program details accurately. Act as a team advisor, coach and mentor, providing knowledge of systems, pricing, contracting and distribution channels, and supporting recruitment, onboarding and training. Establish key performance metrics for monitoring, evaluating and reporting on contracts and business performance. Mobilize and lead autonomous and cross‑functional teams to deliver business results and department priorities. Foster diversity of thought and simplify operational procedures to evolve business practices. Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations and policies governing Genentech activities. Who You Are Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in healthcare, strategy or operations consulting; pharmaceutical/biotechnology contract operations or business operations. 4+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical/biotechnology, managed care, healthcare, or life sciences industry. Knowledge of managed care, healthcare industry and government programs (340B, FSS, Medicare, Medicaid) is preferred. Proven ability to work in a complex, customer‑focused environment with tight deadlines. Strong collaboration, problem‑solving and stakeholder influence skills. Excellent strategic thinking, analytical mindset and solution‑driven approach. Excellent organization skills and attention to detail. Expertise with Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Google suite. Expert knowledge of systems and reporting tools that support operations. Benefits & Salary Salary range (South San Francisco, CA): $147,600/yr to $274,200/yr, with pay determined by experience, qualifications and location.
