Overview
Registered Nurse – Med Surg travel assignment in Utica, New York. This 13-week temporary position starts on 08/17/2026, with guaranteed 36 hours per week and a day shift schedule. Weekly pay ranges from $2,120 to $2,206. The role supports floating within the Med Surg unit on a hospital setting and may require flexible scheduling; block scheduling is not guaranteed. Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to adults on the Med Surg unit with a focus on post-surgical and general medical care
- Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, manage IV therapy, and assist with enteral feeding and NG tubes
- Perform routine assessments, respond to clinical changes, document care and progress in the electronic medical record (EPIC)
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and other health care professionals to develop and modify care plans
- Float to assigned units as needed; adhere to unit protocols, safety standards, and patient flow requirements
- Support discharge planning, patient/family education, and pain management as appropriate

Requirements
- Active New York RN license (Nursys verification) with current status
- AHA BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years Med Surg experience; travel experience required
- EPIC EMR experience
- Driver’s license with address matching demographics
- RTO (reason/ciring time off) must be included at time of submission
