Sales Application EngineerArrowhead Talent Solutions is assisting a manufacturing company fill a Sales Application Engineer position located in Hiram, OH. The Sales Application Engineer serves as the technical bridge between customers and internal engineering and operations teams. This role combines technical expertise, problem-solving, and customer-facing communication to support growth, develop engineered solutions, and ensure successful product integration in customer applications.Essential Functions & ResponsibilitiesUnderstand customer requirements, interpret technical specifications, and recommend appropriate products, configurations, or custom solutionsPartner with the sales team to develop proposals, quotations, and technical presentations that clearly articulate value and feasibilityParticipate in customer meetings, site visits, and product demonstrations to gather application details and provide technical guidanceTranslate customer needs into actionable engineering requirements; collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure solutions are viable and cost-effectiveSupport the lifecycle of customer projects from concept through production launch, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and expectations are metPrepare technical documentation, application notes, cost estimates, and project status updatesMaintain deep knowledge of company products, manufacturing capabilities, and industry standards to guide customers toward the best-fit solutionProvide feedback to product management and leadership on customer trends, competitive activity, and opportunities for product improvementsPerforms other duties and participates in Company initiatives as assigned.Qualifications & Education RequirementsTo perform this job successfully an individual must be capable of performing each essential function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or related field), a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred.• 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or technical sales environment• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, and manufacturing processes• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences• Experience with 3D and 2D CAD software like SolidWorks, and simulation tools like Ansys.• Comfortable working directly with customers and cross-functional teams• Willingness to travel as needed (typically 10-30%)Working ConditionsEnvironmental Works in a combination of a standard office, laboratory, and general normal manufacturing conditions. Uses general office equipment such as computers, telephones and other business task machines.Physical/Mental Intermittent sitting, standing and walking in the ordinary course of performing duties in office, laboratory and normal manufacturing settings.
