Production Operator

Our client, an industry leader in feed premixes and production, is seeking a dedicated Production Operator to join their team. As a Production Operator, you will be part of the manufacturing department supporting the production floor. The ideal candidate will demonstrate dependability, flexibility, physical stamina, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Production Operator

Location: Ames, IA

Pay Range: $20.00 hour 

Shift: Night shift, Sunday-Thursday, 9:00 PM - 7:30 AM (4-10 hour shifts)

What's the Job?

• Carry 20-25kg bags and operate machinery safely and efficiently
• Charge stations, operate hoists, and forklift equipment as needed
• Assist in mixing, blending, and packaging of feed premixes
• Conduct visual inspections, sampling, and quality checks on batches
• Maintain a clean and organized production environment following safety and sanitation standards

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 6 months related experience preferred
• Ability to operate forklifts and basic computer skills
• Physical ability to move up to 60 lbs frequently and often
• Willingness to complete required safety and health screenings, including respirator fit tests and physical exams
