Position Overview: Home Health Occupational Therapist Assistant

In this role, you will:

• Deliver therapy services as planned, delegated, and supervised by a licensed Occupational Therapist, adhering to the patient's Treatment Plan.
• Support the implementation of vocational and educational programs designed by the registered Occupational Therapist to restore, reinforce, and enhance task performance, correct pathology, and promote health and self-sufficiency.
• Design and adapt equipment and living environments to meet patient needs.
• Fabricate devices that assist in improving function and independence, facilitating participation in programs and community activities.
• Administer therapeutic treatments and provide instruction to patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist and in line with physician orders to enhance strength, coordination, range of motion, and overall function, or to teach compensatory strategies.
• Document observations and information in patient records, prepare clinical notes, and assist in the creation of progress reports.
• Maintain and submit required documentation as per organizational and facility guidelines.
• Educate patients and their families on home programs and the use of adaptive equipment.
• Engage in care coordination and discharge planning, serving as a resource for other healthcare professionals to meet patient needs.
• Design community reintegration activities to support clients in their physical reconditioning and psychological adjustment, coordinating plans with the interdisciplinary team.

Essential Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) license.
• Valid CPR certification.
• A valid driver's license, auto insurance, and dependable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least six months of experience as an Occupational Therapist Assistant.
• Experience in home health settings.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is:

• $41.00 - $57.00 per visit/unit.
• Annual base salary between $64,000 and $87,500.

Additional Information

Tuberculosis Screening: This position involves direct patient interaction and is part of our Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected, you will need to undergo TB screening.

Driving Requirements: This role is included in our driver safety program, necessitating a valid state driver's license and personal vehicle liability insurance. You must maintain insurance that meets or exceeds your state's minimum requirements, or at least $25,000 for bodily injury per person, $25,000 for bodily injury per event, and $10,000 for property damage, whichever is higher.

Weekly Hours

40 hours per week.
