Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Airport Screener in Ontario, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by screening people, packages, and/or vehicles, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will deliver exceptional customer service while helping to deter incidents through a professional, visible presence. - Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Screen individuals, personal property, packages, and vehicles in accordance with established procedures for a logistics and distribution location.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials, shipment documentation, and authorization for entry into restricted areas.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner and report observations through established channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
