Job Description The Manager, Trade Analytics leads rebate analytics strategies and provides operational oversight for MedImpact through forecast and trend management solutions. The position will be responsible for managing various strategic improvement initiatives within the department to continuously improve our client rebate reporting, rebate trends, rebate allocations and rebate payments. The position will interact with internal and external stakeholders to deliver value and support of these initiatives. Responsibilities Lead and direct client analytical activities for assigned rebate segment, including analyzing large data sets to identify trends, opportunities, and troubleshoot issues. Use medium-level SQL expertise to build unique queries and interpret complex data quickly and accurately; creatively adapt data to meet immediate requests. Manage training, workflow, and deliverables for segment area analysts, providing on‑the‑job training and leading the team when necessary. Lead quality improvement and strategic initiatives for the Trade Analytics department to ensure high performance, high quality, and consistent methods are in place. Develop and review statistical analysis and forecasting models for clients and management, providing recommendations for policy, procedure, control, or action. Maintain a continuous improvement mindset, seeking new ways to meet internal and external requirements and improve departmental KPIs and metrics. Manage multiple priorities and deadlines with minimal supervision, maintaining custom client deliverables, delivery schedules, and ad‑hoc reporting. Represent the Trade Analytics group to senior management and cross‑functional teams, communicating business decisions and rationale. Represent the group to high‑touch clients through client calls regarding rebates earned and addressing any questions or issues. Keep up to date with industry and regulatory changes. Other duties may be assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities Manages assigned staff in the segment area, overseeing direction, coordination, evaluation, hiring, training, performance appraisal, and disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. Client Responsibilities Internal and external client‑facing position requiring excellent customer service, interpersonal communication, and the ability to manage difficult or emotional client situations, respond promptly to client needs, solicit client feedback, and meet commitments. Qualifications BS/BA degree or equivalent plus 5+ years of experience; 1 year as SME; and 3+ years of supervisory experience. 4 years of MedImpact experience plus an appropriate external leadership training program and internal mentorship within 12 months may substitute for supervisory experience. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access) and moderate SQL experience. Proven leadership, excellent verbal and written communication, analytical and financial reasoning, and operational database application skills. Attention to detail and history of leading quality or process improvement initiatives. Ability to represent MedImpact at the enterprise level with sound business decisions. Demonstrated problem‑solving capability, data collection, fact‑finding, and drawing valid conclusions. Mathematical ability to calculate discounts, commissions, percentages, proportions, and apply algebra and geometry concepts to practical situations. Language proficiency to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents and to write reports and business correspondence. Physical Demands The employee is required to sit, talk, hear, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Work Environment The work environment is a typical business office with computers, printers, and moderate traffic noise. Work Location On‑site at San Diego Headquarters or other company location, or remote with management approval based on business requirements. Working Hours Exempt level requiring flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with core business hours Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Travel Domestic travel up to 15% of the time.
