With 17 manufacturing facilities across North America, we provide innovative packaging solutions that meet the diverse needs of brand owners in the United States and Canada.Job Overview: We are seeking a hands-on Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to support safety, compliance, and environmental programs within a dynamic manufacturing environment. In this role, you will be a partner with operations, maintenance, engineering, and leadership teams to ensure safe work practices, reduce risk, and strengthen safety culture across the facility. This is a position where you can lead safety initiatives, influence culture, and make a real impact.What You'll Do:Safety & Regulatory Compliance:Support and maintain the Pretium Packaging EHS program in compliance with OSHA and environmental regulationsConduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across manufacturing operationsInvestigate incidents, injuries, and near misses to determine root cause and implement corrective actionsMaintain OSHA logs, safety documentation, and compliance recordsReport current/potential issues to the plant leadership and provide potential solutionsEnvironmental Programs:Support environmental programs including waste management, emissions, stormwater, and chemical handlingMonitor hazardous and non-hazardous waste handling and storageAssist with environmental inspections and regulatory reportingSafety Training & Culture:Deliver safety training including: Lockout/Tagout, PPE and hazard communication, Machine guarding, Ergonomics and emergency responseEngage employees in safety initiatives, committees, and continuous improvement effortsRisk Reduction & Continuous Improvement:Partner with operations to identify hazards associated with Plastics processing equipment, Robotics and automation, Compressed air systems, Material handling and resinsSupport implementation of engineering and administrative safety controlsTrack safety metrics and support improvement initiativesEmergency Preparedness:Assist with emergency response planning including Fire safety, Evacuation procedures, Spill response, Medical emergency coordinationSupport drills and emergency response teamsYou will be a good fit if you have:Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field preferred2+ years of EHS experience in manufacturingExperience in plastics, injection molding, blow molding, or industrial manufacturing is strongly preferredOSHA 30 Certification preferredCertifications (Preferred):CHST, ASP, or other professional safety certificationFirst Aid / CPR / AEDKey Skills:Strong knowledge of OSHA and environmental complianceExperience investigating incidents and performing root cause analysisAbility to influence employees and leadership to drive safe work practicesStrong documentation and organizational skillsProficiency with Microsoft OfficeWhy This Role Matters:In this role, you will help build and strengthen a proactive safety culture where employees feel empowered to identify risks and continuously improve the workplace.
