About the Position

Job Opportunity – ICU Registered Nurse – Florida

Start Date: Anticipated orientation approximately 3-4 weeks from offer acceptance

Location: Port Saint Lucie, Florida

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36 guaranteed hours per week for 12-hour shifts. Float coverage required across multiple facilities within a 20-mile radius to meet patient care needs. No block scheduling available.

Highlights:

• 180-bed short-term acute care facility with Epic charting system
• Cardiac ICU experience required; focus on dysrhythmia interpretation and management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction
• Hands-on critical care environment including arterial line management, central line care, continuous IV sedation, and ventilator management
• Float to multiple facilities within the regional health system to provide comprehensive critical care coverage
• Free parking in unrestricted spaces; business casual white scrubs required
• First-time travel nurses welcomed with comprehensive orientation and study materials provided

Requirements:

• Minimum 18 months ICU experience required; 2 years preferred
• Cardiac experience is mandatory
• Active Florida RN license (must be active prior to start; pending licenses not accepted)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required at time of application
• NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start date
• Proficiency in arterial blood gas interpretation, cardiac and vasoactive drip titration, BiPAP/CPAP management, and ventilated patient care
• Experience with continuous IV sedation, central line management, and isolation precautions
• EKG and pharmacology testing required during orientation (two attempts maximum)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen plus nicotine/cotinine test required (smoke-free/nicotine-free facility with no exceptions)
• Two professional references from direct supervisor, manager, or director
• All requested time off must be submitted with initial application
