Safety Technician / Safety Trainee Serve as the on-site safety expert supporting frontline operations across your Market Unit, ensuring compliance with CCSWB/Arca Continental policies, KORE safety standards, and all federal, state, and local regulations. This role is critical to driving a zero‑incident culture through audits, training, and proactive risk management. Key Responsibilities Act as a safety resource for frontline teams and leaders. Conduct safety audits, inspections, and incident reviews; drive corrective actions. Lead and support Safety Committees and safety initiatives. Deliver hands‑on safety training (drivers, warehouse, fleet, equipment). Ensure DOT/FMCSA compliance (HOS, DVIRs, driver qualifications, road test). Monitor driver safety performance, camera events, and violations; provide coaching. Manage safety reporting, permits, and documentation. Support emergency preparedness (fire drills, hazard assessments). Partner with HR, Operations, and Safety teams to strengthen safety culture. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 2+ years as a CDL‑qualified driver. 1–2 years of safety or related experience. Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations. Clean driving record (no preventable accidents or violations in past 36 months). Strong communication and training skills. Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). What You Bring Hands‑on operational experience (distribution, delivery, warehousing). Ability to coach, train, and influence frontline teams.
