Lead the Opening of a High-Volume Chicken QSR in Central Ohio

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the opening of a new, high-volume quick-service restaurant in Hilliard, Ohio .

This is an exciting opportunity for a proven QSR leader who enjoys building teams, developing managers, driving sales, maintaining operational excellence, and creating a strong restaurant culture from the ground up.

The restaurant is scheduled to open in early 2027 , and the selected General Manager will play a key role in preparing the operation for opening, recruiting and training the team, establishing operational standards, and leading the restaurant once it opens.

Compensation

• $70,000–$80,000 base salary
• $10,000 bonus opportunity

What You'll Do

As General Manager, you will have full responsibility for the day-to-day operation and performance of the restaurant.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead all pre-opening activities, including staffing, training, preparation, and operational readiness
• Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop a high-performing restaurant team
• Lead and develop Assistant Managers and other management-level employees
• Drive sales, guest satisfaction, profitability, and overall restaurant performance
• Manage labor, food costs, inventory, and controllable expenses
• Maintain strong food quality, food safety, cleanliness, and operational standards
• Build a positive, accountable, and high-performance restaurant culture
• Ensure exceptional guest service in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Analyze restaurant performance and take action to improve results
• Manage scheduling and staffing to meet business demands
• Conduct manager and team training while maintaining consistent operating standards
• Lead by example and remain highly visible and engaged in the restaurant
• Partner with leadership on opening strategy, ongoing performance, and future growth

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is a hands-on, high-energy QSR General Manager with a strong track record of leading high-volume restaurant operations.

Preferred qualifications include:

• 3+ years of General Manager experience in QSR, fast casual, or high-volume restaurant operations
• Strong experience leading and developing restaurant management teams
• Proven experience with P&L, labor, food cost, inventory, and operational controls
• Experience recruiting and building teams
• Strong understanding of food safety and restaurant standards
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Strong sales-building and guest-service mindset
• Experience with new restaurant openings is highly preferred
• Chicken/QSR experience is strongly preferred
• Zaxby's experience is a major plus

Ideal Background

Candidates with strong multi-unit QSR experience, proven team-building ability, and excellent operational results will also be considered.
