Inside Sales Engineer

About This Role We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven professional to join our Charlotte or Raleigh, NC office. The successful candidate will assist the Commercial Direct Sales organization by providing pre‑sale and post‑sale support to our top-tier customers. Key Responsibilities Coordinate efforts between Carrier Service and customers to ensure seamless product support. Provide technical support for the sales of commercial air conditioning systems to customers. Include product trainings. Review and assist with plans and specifications to develop HVAC system solutions. Effectively and professionally communicate requirements with customers and internal teams. Adapt to customer specific requirements. Provide HVAC equipment selections, both new and replacements. Seek new business opportunities by responding to RFIs, RFPs, RFQs for new and/or existing customers. Coordinate across multiple functions, maintain composure in fast-paced situations, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment. Support Sales Managers and Sales Coordinators with new and existing accounts and the introduction of new products. Have a developed understanding of HVAC systems, equipment and controls. Be a self‑starter, with strong business understanding, strong self‑direction, and excellent interpersonal/influencing skills to work across the Carrier organization and with customers. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED 5+ years of HVAC industry experience Ability to travel up to 5% domestically Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years HVAC experience Deep understanding of HVAC product knowledge Sense of urgency, self‑initiative, dedication, and sense of ownership Strong written and verbal interpersonal skills with the ability to get along with both external customers and a multi‑functional team of sales, engineering, manufacturing & marketing associates Outstanding follow‑up and follow‑through skills Compensation The annual salary for this position is $64,500.00 – $129,500.00, depending on skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications.
