Schedule: PRN Shift: Day (United States of America) Address: 9100 W 74TH ST City: SHAWNEE MISSION State: Kansas Postal Code: 66204 Job Description: Assists patients in and out of wheelchairs, beds, and carts using appropriate assistive devices. Transports patients to and from designated areas of the hospital. Follows universal precautions guidelines and wears appropriate personal protective equipment. Communicates necessary information to care team members while adhering to HIPAA guidelines. Participates in the training of new transporters. Maintains a professional appearance according to dress code standards. Uses an iPod to receive and accept transport requests from Capacity Management. Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Decision-making skills in determining need for clinical intervention. [Required] * Proper use of transfer assistive devices such as lifts, gait belts, slide boards, and walkers.
