Low Voltage Technician

We are looking for a low-voltage technician to join the team. In this role, you would be part of a team responsible for pulling and routing low-voltage cabling, terminating cable, installing support structures, and troubleshooting connections on projects. Our ideal candidate has 3-5 years of industry experience and excellent organizational and communication skills. In some cases, you will be the on‑site point of contact for smaller jobs. Duties Installing and servicing low voltage cabling (Data/Voice/Coax/Audio/Visual/Fiber) Install cable support systems (j‑hooks or ladder rack) Terminating Cat6/Cat6A network jacks Perform copper cable testing Installation and termination of cameras, card readers, motions, exit devices, and other security/access control equipment Must be able to install, test, and troubleshoot basic network issues Reads and interprets all floor plans, drawings, specifications, and cut sheets Use of hand and power tools in both new construction and finished residential and commercial environments Must be willing to travel locally (own car) and within the state (transportation provided) Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning Qualification At least 3 years of experience working with new commercial construction low-voltage projects Ability to travel in Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, and Colorado. Ability to understand and effectively explain every aspect of the structured cabling system, including pathways, spaces, horizontal cabling, backbone copper, backbone fiber optic, cross‑and ­inter‑connections, and testing. This includes understanding applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices and the ability to differentiate between them and make recommendations. Read, write, and understand English Able to distinguish color codes Must be able to work on ladders and use power tools Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb, bend, stoop, crawl, and kneel without assistance.
