As a per diem Speech Language Pathologist in Acute Therapy at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles CA you will have comprehensive knowledge of assessment and intervention techniques in a medical physical disabilities setting.

What will you be doing:

• Perform evaluations
• Demonstrate appropriate treatment interventions and strategies
• Complete discharge planning for patients
• Knowledge and experience with bedside swallow evaluations and cognitive/communication evaluations

The Therapist-Per Diem is considered employed on an at-will basis with no guarantee of scheduled hours. Scheduling is done based on staffing need and availability. The Therapist-Per Diem staff member is expected to be available a minimum of 16 hours per month.

Qualifications:

• Education Requirements: Graduate of an accredited Speech Language Pathology (SLP) program
• License/Certification Requirements: Valid and current license as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in the state of California Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• What will set you apart (Preferred Skills/Qualifications): Minimum of 1 year of experience as a practicing therapist preferably in an outpatient setting. Experience working with the electronic health record preferred.
