Location: 2425 Samaritan Drive, San Jose, CA 95124

Start Date: ASAP / Flexible

Duration: Permanent, full-time

Shift: 24-hour in-house coverage

Hours/Week: 40+ hours (full-time)

Employment Type: Permanent, exempt

Licenses/Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB-GYN (must be residency within immediate local area)

Experience: Prior obstetric hospitalist and high-acuity maternal-fetal care experience preferred

Pay: $296,400 - $328,320 base salary (depending on FTE), plus overtime at $190/hour, sign-on bonus, and relocation assistance

Competitive Salary: $296,400 $328,320 (base, depending on FTE) + bonus incentives

Additional Pay: Hourly rate for extra clinical hours

What You'll Do

• Provide 24/7 in-house obstetric hospitalist coverage at a high-acuity facility
• Manage OB triage for unassigned and private patients
• Respond to maternal-fetal medicine patient transports (~5-6 per month)
• Assist in cesarean sections (0-3/month) and inpatient postpartum rounding
• Collaborate with specialists in shared antepartum rounding
• Perform gynecologic emergency evaluations in an emergency setting
• Coordinate care supported by Level III NICU, 24-hour Neonatology, Anesthesiology, Pediatric Hospitalist coverage
• Participate in multidisciplinary team efforts to deliver optimal maternal and fetal care

What You Need

Required:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Residency in immediate local area or nearby
• Valid California medical license or eligibility to obtain one
• Strong clinical judgment in high-acuity obstetric settings

Preferred:

• Prior hospitalist or maternal-fetal medicine experience
• Experience with gynecologic emergencies
