Senior Project Manager - Heavy Civil Construction

Join an Established Heavy Civil ContractorA well-established heavy civil construction contractor that has been serving the market for over a century is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join its team. The company specializes in road construction, milling, and a variety of other civil infrastructure projects throughout the Pacific Northwest.This is an excellent opportunity for a proven construction professional who can take ownership of projects from preconstruction through final closeout while working closely with field leadership, clients, subcontractors, and company management.Key ResponsibilitiesManage heavy civil construction projects from preconstruction through completionDevelop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cost controlsCoordinate field crews, subcontractors, vendors, equipment, and material needsReview plans, specifications, contracts, and project requirementsManage RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, and project documentationTrack project costs, production, quantities, and overall financial performanceMaintain strong communication with owners, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teamsIdentify project risks and proactively resolve scheduling, cost, and operational challengesSupport procurement and subcontractor negotiationsProvide leadership and mentorship to project and field teamsEnsure projects meet company standards for safety, quality, schedule, and profitabilityAssist with preconstruction, budgeting, bid reviews, and project handoffQualifications7+ years of construction project management experience, preferably within heavy civil constructionStrong background in road construction, milling, grading, earthwork, site development, or related civil infrastructureProven experience managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, change orders, and financial performanceStrong understanding of heavy civil field operations and construction methodsAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities effectivelyStrong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skillsExperience with public and/or private infrastructure projects preferredBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred but not requiredEstimating experience is a plus, including takeoffs, bid preparation, cost analysis, and preconstructionWhat We OfferCompetitive compensation based on experienceComprehensive benefits package401(k) with company matchPaid time offLong-term career growth and advancement opportunitiesStable project backlog with an established heavy civil contractorOpportunity to play a key leadership role within the organizationIf you're an experienced heavy civil Project Manager ready to take the next step in your career, we'd like to hear from you.
