HR Business Partner I
For a client organization based in Loves Park, IL, Adecco is seeking an HR Business Partner I for a temporary assignment supporting a manufacturing environment. This role provides resource planning support and partners closely with Human Resources leadership to update the strategic workforce plan and deliver core HR services. The HR Business Partner I will work on employee relations, HR compliance, HR administration, and coordination of onboarding and orientation activities in collaboration with internal HR functions such as Talent Acquisition, Learning, and HR Operations. The position is admin heavy, involves significant interaction with HR and leadership, and requires sound judgment, strong decision-making, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Benefits
Compensation based on experience, targeted in the approximate salary range of $72,000 to $80,000 annually.
Full-time on-site schedule from Monday to Friday, working from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day.
Assignment term of up to six months with the potential for extension if business needs require continued support.
Immediate start date targeted as soon as possible based on candidate availability and client requirements.
Work location in Loves Park, IL within a manufacturing-oriented business environment.
What You Will Do?
Support the Manager, Human Resources by updating and maintaining the strategic workforce plan and participating in overall resource planning activities.
Provide support to Talent Acquisition in recruiting and selecting candidates when needed, including helping with job descriptions, postings, screening, and interviews, while focusing primarily on broader HR responsibilities.
Participate with Learning in developing and delivering onboarding and orientation programs to ensure new hires are properly integrated into the organization's processes and culture.
Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures, ensuring consistent application of company policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws, employment standards, and health and safety regulations, maintaining HR practices that align with legal and regulatory requirements.
Support HR Operations by maintaining accurate employee records, preparing HR reports, and coordinating HR projects and initiatives as required by the HR department.
Present HR-related information in leadership huddles and meetings, providing updates, insights, and recommendations based on HR data and workforce trends.
Assist with training efforts and other HR initiatives, using a structured thought process to manage multiple tasks and priorities in different directions.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear interaction with employees, managers, leadership teams, and HR colleagues across the organization.
Demonstrated problem-solving capability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex HR issues related to employee relations, compliance, and organizational change.
Experience in change management, including supporting employees and managers through transitions, organizational updates, and new HR processes or programs.
Talent management skills, including the ability to support efforts to attract, retain, and develop employees to meet current and future business requirements.
Coaching and mentoring skills to guide employees and managers, helping them improve performance and reach their full potential within the organization.
Data analysis skills to interpret HR data, generate meaningful HR reports, and use metrics to measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives and workforce planning.
Project management abilities to plan, execute, and complete HR projects from start to finish, ensuring deadlines and budget expectations are met.
Business acumen and understanding of the manufacturing industry context, including how HR practices support operational goals and workforce effectiveness.
Three to seven years of HR experience, with sound judgment and decision-making ability, and a proven track record of multitasking and prioritizing HR responsibilities.
Workforce planning experience is a plus, particularly in environments requiring careful alignment of staffing levels with production and operational needs.
Workday experience is a plus, especially in using the system for HR administration, reporting, and employee data management tasks.
Manufacturing HR experience is preferred, with an understanding that the role will be pulled in multiple directions to support various stakeholders and activities.
