About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Credit Risk Strategy and Data Science to play a pivotal role in the evolution of its credit operating system. This senior leadership position is not about maintaining the status quo but rather about driving growth in challenging segments, developing new products, and implementing smarter underwriting practices. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of the company's expansion, with a focus on deeper integration of machine learning, automated decisioning, and enhanced portfolio intelligence. Responsibilities include owning the credit strategy across the customer lifecycle, leading data science teams to optimize ML-driven decisioning, and influencing the business's approach to underwriting as it scales. The ideal candidate will have a background that straddles credit strategy and data science, with a proven track record in a growth environment. Experience in fintech, lending, or related fields is essential, as is a strong understanding of ML-driven underwriting and portfolio analytics. The role demands the ability to challenge and guide data science teams, particularly in the areas of alternative data, cash-flow underwriting, and transaction-based decisioning.
