Join our team and bring your best self to the table.What you will be doing The Distribution Center Accounting Manager provides end‑to‑end accounting leadership and financial insight into Distribution Center operations. Reporting to the Controller, this role oversees financial close, reporting, internal controls, and analysis while leading the accounting team. The Accounting Manager partners closely with operational leaders to drive financial accuracy, compliance, and data‑driven decision‑making in a fast‑paced environment.This position requires a hands‑on leader who combines strong accounting fundamentals with the ability to influence across functions and translate financial results into actionable insights. This role plays a critical part in identifying financial risks, trends, and control issues, and in escalating insights that impact forecast accuracy, compliance, and operational decision-making. Main responsibilities:Ensure accurate, timely preparation of financial records and statements in accordance with GAAP and company policiesManage period‑end close activities, including expense reconciliation and general ledger reviewMonitor ledger activity and proactively resolve posting or classification issuesSupports forecast and projection processes by ensuring financial results, accruals, and trends are understood, properly reflected, and communicated to the Controller.Establish, maintain, and monitor accounting policies and internal controls to safeguard company assetsReview expense payments (including purchase card activity) to ensure compliance with approval and control standardsOversee capital expenditure accounting, validation of savings initiatives, and proper asset trackingPartner with Inventory Control to support financial integrity, inventory accuracy, and related reportingInterprets results and recommends solutions to increase revenue, reduce expense, maximize operational efficiency/quality.Analyze financial and operational results, identify trends, and highlight risks and opportunitiesDevelop and publish daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports and dashboardsParticipates in the development of advanced analytic tools and models (predominantly in Microsoft Excel) requiring ingenuity, creativity and short deliverable timeframes ("build from scratch")Prepare ad hoc analyses to support operational, strategic, and special project needsProvide financial insights to support productivity, cost control, and continuous improvement initiativesLead, coach, and develop a team to deliver high‑quality resultsCollaborate closely with Distribution Center leadership to support business decisionsCommunicate effectively with internal partners and external vendors regarding financial questions, payments, and deductionsFoster an inclusive, high‑performance team culture focused on accountability and continuous learning We are looking for candidates who possess the following:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Progressive accounting experience, preferably in distribution, manufacturing, logistics, or retail environmentsPrior people‑management or team‑lead experience strongly preferredStrong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, and period‑end close processesSolid understanding of inventory systems and distribution/warehouse cost structuresAdvanced analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate data into insightsDemonstrated leadership, coaching, and collaboration abilitiesExcellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesStrong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to influence across levelsProficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office toolsExperience with enterprise financial systems and reporting tools (e.g., Essbase or similar)Knowledge and experience with Hyperion Essbase, Oracle, Microsoft Power BI Desktop, SQL and BigQuery We also provide a variety of benefits including:Competitive wages paid weekly · Access to up to 50% of your earned wages before payday, via our partnership with StreamAssociate discountsHealth and financial well-being benefits for eligible associates (Medical, Dental, 401k and more!)Time off (vacation, holidays, sick pay).
