Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant
Location: Paramus, NJ
Type: Contract
Shift & Schedule: Monday – Friday | 5x8-Hour Shifts | No Weekends | No Holidays | No On-Call
Pay Rate: $22/hr

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to provide clinical and clerical support, including patient preparation, vital signs, testing, phlebotomy, documentation, and other medical office duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms, treatment rooms, supplies, and instruments.

• Prepare patients for physician visits and examinations.

• Take and document patient vital signs.

• Perform EKG, PFT, Audiometry, and Titmus testing as required.

• Perform UDS, BAT, phlebotomy, and other laboratory testing as required.

• Maintain accurate patient records and reports.

• Assist with collections and billing procedures as needed.

• Use computer systems for office operations and documentation.

• Maintain patient confidentiality.

• Provide patient care appropriate to age, culture, language, and individual needs.

• Float between Paramus and Montvale locations as needed.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Current AHA BLS certification.

• Current certification through one of the following: CMA-NHA, CMA-NCCT, CMA-AAMA, RMA-AMT, RMA-NAHP, AMCA, or NCMA.

• EMR knowledge.

• Phlebotomy experience.

• Knowledge of infection control and sterilization.

• Knowledge of medical terminology.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong critical-thinking and adaptability skills.

• English proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing.
