Main Responsibilities Help oversee daily operations of the Grocery Department with a focus on customer service, sales, and department readiness Deliver friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally Ensure shelves, displays, and aisles are clean, full, front‑faced, and merchandised to company standards Assist with executing planograms, promotional sets, seasonal transitions, and weekly ad merchandising Assist with managing orders, inventory levels, product rotation, and backroom organization Assist with monitoring shrink and implementing procedures to reduce waste and loss Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, safety, and operational standards Assist with training, coaching, scheduling, and developing grocery associates while fostering a positive team environment Perform Grocery Department duties as needed and assume responsibility for department operations in the absence of the Grocery Manager Soft Skills We are looking for candidates who possess the following: Strong customer‑service focus with a visible team presence Effective communication, coaching, and team‑building skills Strong organization, prioritization, and problem‑solving abilities Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment Competencies Grocery merchandising and planogram execution Inventory management, ordering, and shrink control Labor planning, scheduling, and performance management Operational standards, food safety, and compliance execution Knowledge Grocery product flow, rotation, and inventory control Retail merchandising and promotional execution Store systems and ordering tools Abilities Ability to analyze sales, labor, and inventory data to drive results Ability to train, coach, and develop associates Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry products and work in coolers and freezers Travel requirements: None Other requirements: Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays; reliable attendance; compliance with company safety policies and Code of Business Conduct We Also Provide a Variety Of Benefits Including Competitive wages paid weekly Associate discounts Health and financial well‑being benefits for eligible associates (Medical, Dental, 401k and more!)
