Willowbrook Hospice is seeking a compassionate and organized Volunteer Coordinator (Part Time) to join our team in Winder, Georgia. Responsibilities:

• Recruit, train, and manage a team of volunteers who provide emotional support, companionship, and practical assistance to our patients and families

• Develop and implement strategies to engage volunteers and ensure their effective utilization in our programs and services

• Coordinate volunteer schedules, assignments, and communication to ensure seamless service delivery

• Collaborate with our multidisciplinary care team to identify volunteer opportunities that meet patient needs and enhance the overall care experience

• Provide ongoing support and supervision to volunteers, ensuring they feel valued and appreciated

• Maintain accurate records and reports on volunteer hours, participation, and feedback

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance volunteer program effectiveness and patient satisfaction

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (human services, social work, or nursing) preferred

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team

• Compassionate and empathetic approach to working with patients, families, and volunteers

• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

• Familiarity with hospice care and volunteer management preferred

Work Environment:

• Part-time position with flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends as needed

• Work primarily at our Winder, Georgia office with occasional travel to patient homes or other locations

• Must be able to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities in a fast-paced environment
