Job Description As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Specialist in Somerset, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Screener with Allied Universal, you will help maintain a secure and welcoming environment by monitoring access points, screening visitors and/or deliveries, verifying credentials, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with team members, and help support smooth operations. Position Type Full Time Pay Rate $18.00 / Hour Job Schedule DayTimeWed 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM Thur 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM Fri 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM Sat 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM Sun 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM What You'll Do Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and/or deliveries in accordance with established access-control and screening protocols. Monitor entry points and restricted areas, verify credentials, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific escalation procedures. Maintain accurate screening, visitor, incident, and shift activity records while helping to deter prohibited items and unauthorized entry. Minimum Requirements Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
