About The Position The Coaches for COPA Kids are dedicated to nurturing our youngest members at COPA STC, focusing on athletes aged six and under. Utilizing COPA's cutting-edge technologies and premier training facilities, you will guide small groups of young athletes through our dynamic and enjoyable programs designed for early development. The ideal instructors will bring an energetic and positive attitude, along with a welcoming smile, to create a fun and engaging environment for our little athletes. Candidates should be flexible and available to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekdays, and weekends. COPA would require a coach to be available a minimum of 3 training days a week (2 weekdays and 1 weekend day) in a Part-Time capacity. COPA coaching hours of operation are Monday thru Friday 9.00am – 8.00pm; Saturday & Sunday 8.00am onwards. With commitment to the same consistent schedule week after week. Essential Functions Teaching and Coaching: Provide instruction and guidance in sport fundamentals, movement skills, balance, coordination, and cognitive development, tailoring lessons to meet the diverse needs and skill levels of participants. Hospitality and Customer Experience: Welcome children and their parents with enthusiasm, fostering a positive environment. Collaborate with fellow COPA Team members to enhance the overall experience for families and participants. Safety and Security: Maintain a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for all participants, consistently implementing safety protocols and best practices to ensure the well-being of everyone involved. Versatile Communication Skills: Comfort and skill in interacting with individuals of all ages is essential, as we strive to provide a fun, engaging, and rewarding experience for everyone. Preferred Experience Experience in teaching, coaching, or caring for young children, including curriculum development and engagement strategies. Proven track record of success in a customer service environment, demonstrating strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Current CPR/AED certification or a commitment to obtain certification prior to employment. Requirements Physical effort and exertion, which may include all exercise and sports-related movements, maintenance of equipment, lifting weights up to 45 pounds, and prolonged walking and standing. Ability to learn and become comfortable with our technology, operating software, and hardware which is integral to our facility and curriculum. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proven time management and organizational skills. Solution orientated in difficult situations –particularly related to customer issues. All new hires must successfully complete a background check as a condition of employment.
