Tax Preparer

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Tax Preparer for a full-time contract role thru May or June. Responsibilities Prepare and file complex individual and business tax returns, including forms for corporations, S-corps, partnerships, and LLCs. Assist clients with tax planning, projections, and strategic guidance. Utilize accounting software CCH and QuickBooks to prepare returns and maintain client documentation. Resolve client tax issues at both federal and state levels. Communicate effectively with clients via email, phone, Zoom, or Teams, ensuring clarity and professionalism. Qualifications 7+ years of experience preparing complex individual income tax returns (1040s, all schedules) and estates and trusts (1041) in a CPA firm environment. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; EA or CPA designation strongly preferred. Prior experience with Tax Preparation for small to mid sized companies >$50M Experience with book-to-tax adjustments is highly preferred. Must be proficient with CCH Axcess / ProSystem and QuickBooks. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and strong collaborative mindset.
