Family-Based Immigration Paralegal – Role Description A Family-Based Immigration Paralegal is responsible for assisting attorneys with the preparation and management of immigration cases involving family-based petitions. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients throughout the process. Key Responsibilities Prepare and file family-based immigration petitions and applications, including forms such as I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131, and related supporting documents; Collect, review, and organize client documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy; Maintain and manage case files, deadlines, and follow-ups; Communicate with clients to provide case updates, request documents, and answer general inquiries; Assist in preparing clients for interviews with USCIS, including document review and guidance; Draft cover letters, affidavits, and other supporting documentation; Track case progress and respond to Requests for Evidence (RFEs) as needed; Coordinate with attorneys to ensure timely filing and compliance with immigration regulations; Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
