This is an opportunity for an accounting professional with a strong background in insurance, investments, and/or public accounting to take on a key role supporting investment accounting and financial reporting.The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical accounting foundation, analytical mindset, and experience working with investment-related accounting within an insurance or financial services environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and support investment accounting and financial reporting activitiesAnalyze investment activity, accounting results, and financial dataSupport monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processesReview investment accounting transactions, reconciliations, and reportingPartner with internal accounting, finance, investment, and reporting teamsAssist with technical accounting research and the interpretation of accounting guidanceSupport internal and external audit requestsIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and analyticsProvide analysis and insight around investment portfolios and related financial resultsIdeal BackgroundWe are open to candidates coming from several relevant backgrounds, including:4+ years of experience in either public accounting or industry investment accounting roles.Public accounting professionals with insurance experience, particularly candidates from Big 4 or national accounting firmsAccounting professionals with insurance investment accounting experienceCandidates with experience across investments, financial reporting, accounting analytics, or insurance accountingExperience with GAAP and/or STAT accountingBackground working with investment portfolios, investment reporting, or insurance financial statementsStrong Excel and financial analysis capabilitiesBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldWhat We’re Looking ForThe strongest candidates will have a combination of technical accounting knowledge, analytical ability, and insurance industry exposure.
