RECEPTIONIST
Ambulatory Surgery Center
- The receptionist welcomes patients and visitors to the center or on the phone.
- Collects patient identification cards and insurance information.
- Ensures documentation is completed and signed.
- Collects copays and deductibles as needed.
- Records payments in the billing system.
- Balances upfront collections.
- Notifies clinical when patient is ready to proceed to the clinical area.
- Regular and predictable attendance required.
- Prepares patient charts for the following day.
- Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
