My client is a growing manufacturer in the Chicago suburbs, with an emphasis in metal stamping and metal fabrication for customers in a variety of industries. With just over 100 people on site, they are looking to add more team members as their customer base grows and as they see more resources for expansion from their parent company. Job Description

• Responsible for creation/interpretation/handling of engineering documents and schematics
• Troubleshoot as needed, walking production floor and working with operators and other engineering personnel to solve issues
• Oversee manufacturing processes including stamping, welding, assembly, and roll-forming to identify areas for improvements
• Assist in the quoting of projects from customers, as well as ensuring manufacturability based on customer specifications
• Drive improvements to manufacturing to realize cost savings

The Successful Applicant

• 3+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar 3D modeling software
• Previous exposure to working closely on projects, including interfacing with customers and estimating project costs
• Background in metals manufacturing is preferred
• Technical degree preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish or Polish is a huge plus

What's on Offer

• Base salary $75,000-$95,000 depending on experience
