Job Title: Operating Room RNFA Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: RN First Assistant Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours (06:30 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Must have a valid California license Certifications: BLS, CRNFA, ACLS preferred Must-Have: Epic experience required Previous Charge experience required No first-time travelers Description: The position requires candidates to float to various surgical units as needed. Shifts are 4/10s or 3/12s with call and float required, including every other weekend. Candidates will work in Ambulatory PACU, Operating Room, Orthopedics, Outpatient Surgery, Pre/Post Op, and Radiology/Ultrasound/X-Ray settings. Specialties covered include Cancer care, Orthopedics, and Cardiac. The facility has multiple operating rooms across different specialties, including Same Day Surgery, outpatient Orthopedics, and Pain Management. The expectation is that candidates will float to all relevant units. Candidates should have experience in acute hospital operating rooms and ambulatory surgery centers. A variety of surgical procedures will be performed, including appendectomies, cholecystectomies, total joint replacements, and various robotic surgeries. Professional knowledge in aseptic technique, instrument processing, and isolation precautions is required. Candidates must be flexible with scheduling and available for all weekend shifts. Travelers may be called off or placed on call once per pay period, with a required call-back time of 60 minutes if called in. Modules for training are required and will be completed pre-start and annually.
