Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients presenting with a wide range of medical issues, utilizing evidence-based diagnostic and treatment skills.
• Collaborate closely with case management to coordinate effective discharge planning, ensuring smooth transitions for patients moving from inpatient to outpatient care.
• Contribute to efforts aimed at improving the cost-effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients, participating in departmental quality improvement initiatives.
• Accept patient referrals from other physicians and serve as a consulting physician for patients requiring hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation that meets insurance requirements, including the timely appeal of any denials.
• Engage in both inpatient and outpatient consultations, with potential for involvement in on-call schedules for specialty services.

In this role, you will care for an array of patients from diverse backgrounds, each with unique medical needs. Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field from an accredited university.
• A valid Physician Assistant license (PA-C) in the state of Florida is mandatory.

• A valid DEA number is required to prescribe medications as necessary.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of one year of professional experience is required, candidates with a Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies and those possessing bilingual skills will be given preference. Experience in urgent care settings, emergency medicine, or hospital medicine is a plus and will enhance your candidacy.

Compensation and Benefits
