Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to patient consults and admissions, conducting thorough assessments to determine medical needs.
• Assist with provider rounds by documenting comprehensive notes, entering medical orders, and performing wound care as required.
• Efficiently manage pre-operative and post-operative orders to ensure timely surgical care and smooth patient transitions.
• Verify that patients are adequately prepared for surgical procedures, fostering a seamless experience from admission to discharge.
• Maintain open lines of communication with patients and their families, providing updates and ensuring understanding of treatment plans.
• Adhere to HIPAA standards and billing regulations, ensuring confidentiality and accurate record-keeping throughout all procedures.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Valley Urgent Care, you will cater to a diverse patient population, ranging from children to seniors with varying degrees of medical needs. The urgent care model is designed to address non-life-threatening conditions that require immediate attention, including but not limited to lacerations, infections, minor fractures, and respiratory issues. Your role will significantly impact patient health outcomes and overall satisfaction by delivering timely, evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or a related field, with an active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Florida.
• At least one year of experience working as a Nurse Practitioner, ideally within an urgent or acute care setting.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems for accurate charting and data entry.
• Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to build rapport with patients from various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, creating an inclusive care environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an urgent care or emergency department setting is strongly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
