Job Description

Job Summary:
The Medical Technologist/Clinical Lab Scientist performs diagnostic laboratory tests with precision and efficiency to support patient care. The role involves analyzing blood and body fluids, ensuring quality control, and maintaining laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct laboratory analyses on blood and body fluids according to established procedures.
• Prepare specimens accurately, including proper labeling and data entry, for processing and testing.
• Ensure all quality control measures are met prior to reporting results.
• Troubleshoot instrument and procedural issues promptly to maintain workflow.
• Assist with training new personnel and participate in proficiency testing and quality assurance activities.
• Maintain laboratory safety protocols and proper documentation of specimen handling and test results.

Qualifications:

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.
• Possess a valid certification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist or Clinical Lab Scientist (ASCP, AMT, NCCLS, or equivalent).
• Demonstrate knowledge of laboratory procedures, instrumentation, and quality control standards.
• Exhibit strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Capable of troubleshooting laboratory instruments and procedures effectively.
