Safety Specialist - Second Shift | New Brunswick, NJ

ResponsibilitiesWe're seeking an experienced EHS Safety Professional to support a second-shift industrial project in New Brunswick, NJ . This role will provide on-site safety oversight during the installation of a new boiler, ensuring work is completed safely and in compliance with all applicable regulations and site requirements.Responsibilities:Provide daily on-site EHS support during second-shift operationsConduct routine safety inspections and observationsEnsure compliance with OSHA standards and site-specific safety requirementsAssist with Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), pre-task planning, and permit activitiesCoach contractors and craft personnel on safe work practicesInvestigate incidents and near misses, documenting findings and corrective actionsMaintain accurate safety documentation and reportsQualificationsOSHA 30 requiredCurrent First Aid/CPR certification requiredNFPA 70E certification required40-Hour HAZWOPER requiredPrevious industrial, pharmaceutical, or heavy construction safety experience preferredStrong communication and leadership skillsSchedule:Second Shift2:00 PM start timeFull-time hours with the potential for overtimeOverviewHazTek Safety Management is a full-service, objective safety partner, founded in 1997.
