HR Manager

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead and support all HR functions at a fast-paced manufacturing and production facility in Fairfield, CA. This hands-on role is responsible for providing strategic and operational HR leadership while supporting employees. The Human Resources Manager will serve as a trusted business partner to leadership, oversee employee relations, ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies, and manage a small HR and administrative team. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day human resources operations for a manufacturing facility with approximately 140 employees. Provide guidance and support on employee relations matters, investigations, conflict resolution, performance management, and policy interpretation. Conduct workplace investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions. Partner with leadership on organizational planning, workforce development, compensation, and employee engagement initiatives. Supervise and mentor the Human Resources Generalist, Payroll Specialist, and Office Manager/Receptionist. Support recruitment, onboarding, employee development, retention, and succession planning efforts. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Manage leave administration, accommodations, and other employee programs. Oversee payroll-related processes including timecard review, approvals, troubleshooting employee payroll inquiries, and coordination with ADP for payroll processing. Maintain HR metrics, reporting, employee records, and compliance documentation. Foster a positive workplace culture and support operational leaders across all shifts. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 6+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including leadership or management responsibilities. Previous experience supporting manufacturing, production, industrial, distribution, or similar environments strongly preferred. Strong employee relations and workplace investigation experience. Working knowledge of California employment laws and HR best practices. Experience managing and developing HR staff. Payroll knowledge and experience supporting payroll processes, including timekeeping and coordination with third-party payroll providers such as ADP. Ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Onsite position based in Fairfield, California.
