Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the health care team to develop, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care based on physiological and psychosocial assessments, aligned with established practice models
• Deliver direct nursing care to medical-surgical patients, monitor patient status, administer medications per policy, and document assessments and interventions in the electronic health record
• Utilize clinical pathways and patient education to support safe, evidence-based care and positive patient outcomes
• Communicate effectively with the care team using SBAR, participate in interdisciplinary rounds, and advocate for patient and family education and engagement
• Maintain patient safety and quality of care, contribute to a collaborative work environment, and participate in unit orientation and ongoing professional development

Requirements

• Active Michigan RN license with verification via LARA and Nursys (license verification required)
• BLS (AHA) certification
• 2+ years of straight Med/Surg RN experience in a hospital setting; not float, not SDU/Telemetry
• Level II or I trauma-level experience required
• Ability to work the 3x12 night shift and participate in a 13-week travel assignment; recent RN skills checklist completed within the last 12 months
