About the Opportunity A confidential, fast-growing residential electrification company is building an experienced field installation team in Portland, OR. This is an opportunity for an HVAC installer who takes pride in high-quality residential work, communicates clearly with homeowners, and wants to help expand the adoption of modern heat-pump systems. You will complete residential heat-pump installations, replace aging gas equipment, and contribute practical feedback that improves installation quality and efficiency. What You'll Do - Complete full residential heat-pump installations from start to finish - Remove existing furnaces and air-conditioning equipment and prepare the work area for new systems - Perform refrigerant recovery, system evacuation, charging, and commissioning with care and precision - Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment documentation - Follow applicable building codes, permit requirements, and safety standards - Test installed systems to confirm safe and reliable operation - Identify and correct quality issues before completing each job - Explain the installed system to homeowners and answer questions professionally - Maintain organized, well-stocked vehicles and work areas - Collaborate with other installers and technical teams to improve products and installation processes What You Bring - Hands-on residential HVAC installation experience - Experience working in attics, crawlspaces, and other physically demanding environments - EPA Section 608 Certification, or active progress toward certification - HVAC or HVACR license where required by the local jurisdiction - Ability to read blueprints and wiring schematics - Working knowledge of building codes and installation requirements - Strong refrigerant recovery, evacuation, and charging skills - Clear, professional communication with customers and teammates - Strong problem-solving skills and close attention to workmanship - Ability to work independently and as part of an installation crew - Experience with heat pumps or mini-splits is strongly preferred - Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and work in varied conditions - Commitment to OSHA electrical and Lockout/Tagout safety standards Job Type: Full-time, permanent Pay: $28 - $36 per hour Benefits - Dental, vision, and life insurance - Health insurance - Education support - Parental leave support - 401(k) program - Tools and uniforms provided - Lunch provided Work Location: In person - Portland, OR Candidates who meet the core experience and certification requirements are encouraged to apply even if they do not meet every preferred qualification.
