Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. Collaborates with healthcare teams to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate maternal and neonatal care.
Responsibilities:
- Assess maternal and fetal health status throughout labor and delivery.
- Administer medications and interventions as prescribed.
- Monitor vital signs and recognize signs of complications.
- Support and educate patients and families during labor and postpartum.
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid New York State RN license.
- Possess an Associate’s Degree (ASN, ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
- Have at least two years of Maternal and Child Health nursing experience.
- Demonstrate proficiency in IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation.
- Maintain current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
- NRP certification is required.
