In this role, you will be responsible for managing project costs, preparing estimates, analyzing budgets, and ensuring financial efficiency across our high-end residential and commercial construction projects.The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong analytical skills, extensive knowledge of construction estimating, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment. You will collaborate closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on budget and to the highest quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesCost Estimation and BudgetingPrepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for residential and commercial construction projectsAnalyze blueprints, specifications, and project plans to determine material, labor, and equipment costsDevelop and maintain project budgets from pre-construction through completionConduct quantity take-offs and pricing for all project phasesSolicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bidsIdentify cost-saving opportunities without compromising qualityCost Control and MonitoringMonitor project expenditures against approved budgetsTrack change orders and assess their cost impactPrepare regular cost reports and financial forecasts for managementIdentify and address potential cost overruns proactivelyConduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actionsMaintain accurate records of all project costsCollaboration and CommunicationWork closely with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractorsCommunicate cost-related issues and recommendations to stakeholdersParticipate in project meetings via video conferenceCoordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely material acquisitionProvide cost-related input during project planning and design phasesDocumentation and CompliancePrepare and submit detailed cost estimates and reportsMaintain organized digital files for all cost-related documentationEnsure compliance with company policies and industry standardsAssist with contract preparation and review from a cost perspectiveSupport audit and review processes as neededQualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field requiredProfessional certifications such as CPE (Certified Cost Engineer), CCP (Certified Cost Professional), or equivalent preferredExperienceMinimum 1 years of experience in construction cost engineering or estimatingExperience with high-end residential and/or commercial construction projectsProven track record of managing project budgets xhyhwjd and cost controlFamiliarity with building science practices and energy-efficient construction methods preferredSkills and CompetenciesStrong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standardsProficiency in estimating software (e.g., Planswift, Bluebeam, ProEst, or similar)Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis toolsExperience with project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, or similar)Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyEffective written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneouslySelf-motivated with strong time management skillsTechnical RequirementsReliable high-speed internet connectionPersonal computer with necessary software capabilitiesAbility to attend virtual meetings during core business hours (Mountain Time)Home office setup conducive to professional remote workCompensation and BenefitsSalaryAnnual Salary: $75,000 – $115,000
