We are seeking passionate and dependable Restaurant Kitchen Prep Cooks to support our culinary team through quality ingredient preparation, attention to detail, and consistent execution.

This hands-on position is responsible for preparing ingredients, executing daily prep lists, maintaining kitchen standards, and ensuring the culinary team is prepared for efficient service. The ideal candidate takes pride in their craft, values quality ingredients, and brings a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and genuine desire to learn and grow.

Food Preparation & Culinary Excellence

• Prepare ingredients and menu components according to established recipes, specifications, and quality standards.
• Wash, trim, peel, cut, portion, and prepare produce, proteins, and other ingredients.
• Prepare sauces, stocks, dressings, marinades, garnishes, and other culinary components.
• Execute daily prep lists efficiently while maintaining consistency, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Support proper portion control, ingredient utilization, and waste reduction.

Kitchen Operations & Organization

• Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked workstations.
• Properly label, date, store, and rotate ingredients and prepared items.
• Communicate prep levels, product quality, shortages, and production needs to culinary leadership.
• Collaborate with chefs, line cooks, and culinary team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
• Assist with receiving, inventory, and kitchen opening and closing responsibilities.

Food Safety & Professional Development

• Follow established food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Maintain high standards for ingredient handling, storage, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Properly use and maintain kitchen tools, equipment, and preparation areas.
• Participate in menu tastings, culinary training, and ongoing skill development.
• Support recipe testing, menu development, and improvements to kitchen procedures.

• Previous prep cook, line cook, or scratch-kitchen experience preferred but not required.
• Basic knife skills and knowledge of fundamental food preparation techniques.
• Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and preparation standards accurately.
• Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices.
• Experience in upscale dining, farm-to-table, or chef-driven restaurants is a plus.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical duties of a commercial kitchen.
