Horizon Health PA Clinic is urgently seeking a dedicated and skilled Pain Management Physician Assistant to join our esteemed healthcare team in Watertown, New York. In this full-time, onsite position, you will play a critical role in diagnosing and treating patients suffering from chronic pain conditions, as well as promoting optimal health practices aimed at improving patients' quality of life. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our advanced surgical center, where a team-oriented and supportive atmosphere fosters collaboration among healthcare providers. Hours for this position are set for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, concluding each day at 5:00 PM. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and collaboratively develop personalized treatment plans alongside physicians.
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and order necessary diagnostic tests to guide treatment decisions.
• Administer specialized injections, including trigger point and joint injections, to manage patients' pain effectively.
• Prescribe medications as appropriate and provide expert recommendations regarding pain management techniques.
• Monitor patient progress diligently, documenting changes and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about pain management strategies, treatment plans, and lifestyle modifications.
• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records in compliance with health regulations and internal protocols.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to enhance patient care through collaborative discussions.
• Maintain organized and precise records and schedules to facilitate effective operations within the clinic.
• Inform patients about their health conditions and explain the rationale behind prescribed medications.
• Advise patients and families on disease prevention, healthy practices, and epidemic awareness.
• Guardian of overall patient health, ensuring an integration of care across various treatment modalities.
• Commit to advancing your knowledge and contributing to ongoing clinical research and professional discourse.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working primarily with individuals suffering from chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to musculoskeletal disorders, neuropathic pain, and post-surgical pain. Our patient demographic is diverse, ranging from young adults to seniors, each presenting unique challenges and opportunities for customized care. Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies
• Valid Physician Assistant license in the state of New York
• PA-C certification is required
• Must possess a valid DEA and NPI number
• Proven clinical experience as a Physician Assistant within various healthcare settings such as clinics, hospitals, or emergency rooms.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in pain management or a related specialty is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of health regulations and patient care protocols.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, allowing effective interaction with diverse patient populations.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining a positive attitude and a solutions-oriented approach.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 140,000 to 160,000, commensurate with experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 to welcome you to our team.
