Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical EngineerWe are seeking a licensed Mechanical Engineer to support the planning, coordination, design and execution of mechanical systems on complex construction projects. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working collaboratively with project teams, designers, and trade partners, and who wants to deepen their technical expertise while staying closely connected to both the field and office.ResponsibilitiesSupport the planning and coordination of mechanical systems including HVAC, process piping, plumbing, fire protection and related building systemsReview drawings and specifications for constructability, coordination, and clarityAssist with mechanical scope development, system layouts, and sequencing strategiesDevelop complete engineering documents for mechanical systems including plans and specificationsCollaborate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Superintendents, and MEP team members to resolve design and field issuesParticipate in coordination meetings with design teams, trade partners, and ownersSupport review of submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings related to mechanical systemsAssist with field observations to verify installation aligns with drawings and specificationsSupport system start?up, testing, commissioning, and closeout documentationContribute to continuous improvement efforts, lessons learned, and best practices developmentUphold JP Cullen's standards for safety, quality, and teamwork on every projectQualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and Professional Engineering licenseAt least five years of Design experience.
