We believe that high-performing teams drive groundbreaking medical discoveries and invite all applicants to join us and experience what it means to be part of Mass General Brigham.**Job Summary**Responsible for overseeing the operations of the hospitals power plant and ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable production of electricity.**Qualifications****Minimum Qualifications:*** Bachelor's or Master's Degree in the related field of study preferred* 2nd Class Engineer- Massachusetts Department of Fire Services required* 5-7 years' experience in power plant operations required* 2-3 years' experience in a supervisory role required**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:*** Strong leadership and management skills.* Expertise in power plant operations, including boilers, turbines, and electrical systems.* Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to power plant operations and safety.* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.* Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.**Additional Job Details (if applicable)**Key Roles & Responsibilities:* Manage a team of power plant operators, including hiring, training, and performance management.* Oversee the day-to-day operations of the power plant, including start-up, shutdown, and emergency procedures.* Develop and Implement power plant operating procedures and safety protocols.* Collaborate with internal departments, including maintenance and engineering, to ensure the proper maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities.* Plan and oversee capital improvement projects related to the power plant.* Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to power plant operations and safety.* Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and other stakeholders.* Monitor and report on power plant performance, including production, efficiency, and costs.* Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all policies and standards**Remote Type**Onsite**Work Location**30 Locust Street**Scheduled Weekly Hours**40**Employee Type**Regular**Work Shift**Day (United States of America)**Pay Range**$87,526.40 - $127,358.40/Annual**Grade**7At Mass General Brigham, we believe in recognizing and rewarding the unique value each team member brings to our organization.
