Quantitative Research Internship

Who We're Looking For Algovant is seeking detail‑oriented and intellectually curious students to join our Quantitative Research team for the Summer 2025 internship program. If you have a strong interest in data analysis, fixed income, and quantitative modeling—especially in the mortgage‑backed securities (MBS) market—this role offers hands‑on experience solving real‑world problems in financial data. What You'll Do As a Quantitative Research Intern, you will work on cutting‑edge projects that directly impact our clients' decision‑making processes: Data Analysis & Modeling Analyze loan‑level mortgage data and borrower behavior trends Assist in developing and validating prepayment, delinquency, and credit risk models Build back‑testing pipelines using Python for structured finance applications Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and MBS domain experts Contribute to research documentation and insights presentation Participate in team meetings and strategic planning sessions What's Required We're looking for candidates who: Education & Background Are pursuing a degree in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related quantitative field Are graduating 2026 or later Have strong problem‑solving skills and attention to data integrity Technical Skills Have hands‑on experience with Python and analytical libraries (e.g., NumPy, Pandas) Understand basic statistical modeling and regression concepts Are curious about structured finance, especially mortgage data Who We Are Algovant is a fintech company focused on transforming mortgage‑backed securities data through intelligent analytics and automation.
