Carilion Clinic is accepting applications for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Radiologist with fellowship training in Thoracic or Cardiothoracic Imaging to join the Department of Radiology at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital (CRMH) and the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. The ideal candidate will support growing cardiothoracic services as Carilion Clinic builds a 400,000 square-foot addition to CRMH housing the Cardiothoracic Institute. Practice Info Department of Radiology at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital (CRMH) and the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine Department composed of 21 Diagnostic Radiologists based in Roanoke including one cardiothoracic fellowship trained Radiologist Department includes 6 dedicated Interventional Radiologists, 1 Neuro-Interventional Radiologist, 4 dedicated Breast Imaging Radiologists, and 7 additional Diagnostic Radiologists based at Regional Hospitals outside of Roanoke Studies performed include CT imaging for cancer staging, lung cancer screening, and interstitial lung disease evaluation, as well as cardiac studies including coronary CTA, vein mapping cardiac CT, TAVI evaluation, and cardiac MRI CRMH is a 703-bed flagship hospital in Southwest Virginia, the third largest hospital in the Commonwealth of Virginia, a designated level 1 trauma center, and a designated Stroke Center serving nearly one million people Busy clinical and academic practice with remarkable variety and complexity of patient pathology Responsibilities Interpret general neuro/body/MSK radiographs/ultrasound/CT studies Participate in multiple tumor board conferences including weekly thoracic oncology conferences and weekly general oncology conferences Participate in monthly cardiac imaging conferences held jointly with the section of cardiovascular medicine Fulfill light teaching responsibilities for medical students and non-radiology residents Compensation Min Starting Salary: $531,000 Max Starting Salary: $700,000 Tier 1 and Tier 2 bonus compensation programs Base Salary plus two-tier bonus plan Benefits Relocation Paid 10 weeks including CME/Sick Leave paid vacation CME Allowance Comprehensive Benefits Package Employer funded pension plan Paid malpractice and tail Shift & Schedule Position available immediately Overnight shifts are covered by teleradiology Evening shifts (5P to 11P) and weekend shifts are distributed evenly amongst the 21 diagnostic Radiologists based at CRMH Qualifications Board Certified/Board Eligible Radiologist with fellowship training in Thoracic or Cardiothoracic Imaging Candidates must be able to interpret general neuro/body/MSK radiographs/ultrasound/CT studies Interventional procedures, interpretation of mammography, and interpretation of non-thoracic MRI is NOT required Academic appointments at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine No expectations for research, though participation is available for interested candidates
