Job Title:  Materials Management and Logistics Specialist
Location:  Houston TX 77002
Work Schedule:  Monday- Friday, 9:00 am  - 5:00 pm
Pay Rate: USD 47.00 per hour
Contract Type: 6 months

Summary:
Serve as the Materials Management owner for project readiness across assigned capital and construction projects. Monitor and track critical materials and equipment from order through delivery and project handoff. Partner with key stakeholders to identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and provide leadership-ready reporting on material status, supplier performance, and recovery actions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain material readiness plans
• Monitor delivery status for long-lead equipment and strategic materials
• Track supplier commitments, manufacturing milestones, logistics, and site readiness
• Identify and address potential risks before impacting execution
• Coordinate recovery plans with Procurement, OEMs, project teams, and contractors
• Facilitate material readiness reviews with internal and external stakeholders
• Maintain action logs and issue reporting
• Support enterprise visibility for long-lead equipment and inventory
• Escalate material readiness concerns with clear business impact
• Document lessons learned and recommend process improvements
• Comply with company, safety, and supply chain policies

Skills:

• Strong ownership mindset
• Communication, escalation, and stakeholder management
• Understanding of material readiness, delivery monitoring, and inventory coordination
• Ability to improve processes and generate concise reports
• Proficiency in inventory systems and Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of supply chain, logistics, and procurement
• Familiarity with shipping and warehouse operations

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree preferred in supply chain, business, operations, engineering, construction, project management, or related field
• Equivalent experience in utility, construction, supply chain, project controls, or materials management considered
• 8–10 years of experience
