Job Description BioLife Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd., is a plasma donation center committed to customer service and quality. The Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) reports to the Plasma Center Manager and supports plasma center operations. Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility to donate plasma, including informed consent, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of serological protein electrophoresis (SPE) results. Manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable test results. Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs; follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies, including development of Center Physician's standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities. Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical issues concerning donor safety and eligibility. Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation by occupational health/ER; refer to EHS guidance. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations associated with pandemic threats within the local community. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate equivalent of a recognized nursing program with state requirements. Licensed or certified in the state of assignment: Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA). Current CPR and AED certification. Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy. Complete FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Two years in a clinical or hospital setting. Salary $35.20 - $48.40 per hour (USA – ND – Fargo). Actual hourly wage may vary based on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and local minimum wage.
